What We Do
From Kindergarten to Grade Six, there are only 12 to 16 students per class. Most of the classes are multi-age classes. All the books and notebooks are maintained in school, although each student is required to borrow one book every night for home-reading.
At the high school level, we accept 10 students per year level. Each high school student brings his or her own laptop which basically serves as the notebook for most journals, reflections, independent skill work, essays, reports and presentations.

Yes, we have set daily, weekly, monthly and trimester routines. But really, each day is familiar and yet different as each day presents a few more exciting things for the learner. Students from other schools are able to experience a taste of Brainworks methods and materials by coming for two to five hours a week to our reading clinic. This is not academic tutoring. Rather, it is an individualized program designed to help the child develop and master skills in thinking, reading, writing, spelling and computation.
