Our Learning Program

  • Knowledge has a shelf life of only 5 to 7 years.  So why worry about memorizing unrelated bits of knowledge?
  • Our program creates a balance between conventional learning and counter-cultural learning.
  • We offer PERSONALIZED INSTRUCTION and encourage our students to MASTER the basic skills and PURSUE their interests independently and passionately, without forgetting to develop their CHARACTER, VALUES AND SENSE OF COMMUNITY SERVICE.  
  • We offer English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Music, Art and Physical Education.
  • We have a Department of Education permit so all classes are credited.

    We believe in relaxed and simple education yet one that transforms people, families and communities.

    We believe in changing the way families look at learning by continuing to reflect on what works for OUR students.

    We believe in Carl Rogers' unconditional positive regard.  If we truly care for and love our students and teachers, each one will be transformed.

    We believe in Jean Piaget's and John Dewey's constructivism.  We learn better, not just by having someone tell us about a concept but more so by our own interest and efforts to find out more about it.

    We believe in Nel Noddings' Caring Curriculum and we have integrated her SIX themes and many of her ideas into our program.

  • the Reggio Emilia preschools   
  • the Slingerland Institute
  • Singapore Math (from Teacher Red's training in Numeracy Education at Teachers' College)  
  • Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligence
