Our Mission

Our mission is to educate PARENTS, TEACHERS AND YOUNG PEOPLE in a COMMUNITY that fosters WHOLENESS, CREATIVITY AND COMPETENCE.

And to achieve this mission, Brainworks has to remain small and educate the children

• in a relaxed, home-like environment
  
• through problem-based projects and hands-on activities
• through frequent field trips in Science and Social Studies
  
• by inviting expert visitors to speak in our classrooms
• using some time-tested traditional English and Math strategies and materials
  
• and in a strong foundation in values, character education and community service.

Our History

In the year 2000, we established Brainworks in Davao City, Philippines to answer the need of many THINKING PARENTS who wanted to provide a place where young people WANT TO LEARN INDEPENDENTLY. Previously having to rent and transfer a few times, we have found our permanent home in a three-story building in Juna Subdivision. In the year 2000, we opened classes to 13 children from preschool to 4th grade. This June 2009, BRAINWORKS (DAVAO) celebrates its 10th academic year and offers classes from preschool to high school to 112 children.   More and more parents are really thinking about the kind of education their children are getting!
